Goals
The educational objectives concern the international certifications of the studied curricular languages.
The other exams are related to the Cambridge curriculum and are linked to the subjects studied in English.
CAMBRIDGE IGCSE
The IGCSE certificates – International General Certificate of Secondary Education – are internationally recognized: they are equivalent to the British GCSEs that students take at the end of compulsory schooling, at the age of 16. Preparation courses for the IGCSEs begin in the first year of high school and relate to the proposed subjects.
Achieving good results in the IGCSEs represents a fundamental prerequisite for continuing the educational path for the AS&A Levels.
A-LEVEL DIPLOMAS
Students who pass the IGCSE exams can continue their studies with the goal of taking three A-Level exams for the curricular subjects such as: History (Group 3), Biology, and Maths (Group 1).
With 3 A Levels, obtained in the 4th year, it is possible to directly enroll at university in Italy or abroad.

Matter
SCIENCE SUBJECTS
Science subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics follow the guidelines of the Italian Ministry of Education and the University of Cambridge. In the three-year program, lessons will be enriched with content related to Microbiology, Virology, Pathology, Hygiene, and Health Education.
Optional AS & A level
If the student wishes to add other courses related to different subjects to take the AS & A level, the School reserves the right to evaluate the request.

Opportunity
At the end of the international program (in the fourth year of high school), students will have the opportunity to continue their studies at universities that recognize the AS & A Levels as direct entry qualifications (e.g., Italy, England, America, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and many other countries) thanks to passing exams related to subjects studied in English in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
They will also be able to complete the state-certified program by taking the Italian scientific high school diploma exam.

International Medical Admission Test (IMAT)
The Biomedical H.S. study program will prepare students to take entrance tests (IMAT) in Italy and abroad.

Organization
Some of the laboratory and teaching activities in the sciences over the three-year period will be carried out in collaboration with the Medical, Surgical, and Dental Association, as well as with major hospital facilities in the area.
Our typical school day is structured as follows:

Diploma
DOUBLE DIPLOMA
We are a Cambridge school, and the AS&A Level exams are held internally. Students will take the A Level exams by the fourth year.

Students will also have the option to take the Italian high school diploma exam, and since we are a recognized school, the state exam will be held internally. With the state diploma issued by the Liceo Scientifico of the International School of Pavia, students can access all university faculties, but thanks to the courses conducted in English, they will have enhanced mathematical and scientific competencies in both English and Italian throughout their schooling.

AICE DIPLOMA (The Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education).
Students may choose, alternatively, to earn the Cambridge AICE Diploma. For the Biomedical curriculum, students are required to study a core subject such as Global Perspectives & Research, in addition to Cambridge AS & A Level subjects that span three curricular areas: Mathematics and Sciences (Group 1), Languages (Group 2), and Arts and Humanities (Group 3).
