Introduction
The International School is a state-recognized school, meaning that our high schools are part of the national education system. Thanks to our team of qualified and skilled teachers, the state exam is managed internally with the examination committee appointed by the Ministry of Education (MIM).
In the first two years, all students will follow the state-recognized and international curriculum. Only from the third year of high school will it be possible to choose the state-recognized curriculum with enhanced English. The same principle applies for transfers from other public or state-recognized schools, subject to passing an entrance test depending on the chosen high school track.

Goals
The educational objectives differ based on the required high school path. As for the teaching and the number of hours for English instruction, there is no difference between students in the international pathway and those in the national curriculum pathway. The latter are offered the opportunity to follow lessons with the same intensity and passion in the classroom to achieve outstanding results.
Matter
The subjects follow both the Italian and British curricula.
Optional AS & A Levels
If a student wishes to add other courses related to different subjects to take the AS & A levels, the school reserves the right to evaluate the request.
Opportunity
Optional Classes - CAMBRIDGE IGCSE
We are a Cambridge International School. This academic standard allows students at our state-recognized schools to participate in optional courses leading to the IGCSE, should they choose not to pursue the AS & A LEVELs. In practice, a student enrolled in our state-recognized high school can join Maths, Biology, Chemistry, or Global Perspectives classes from other international courses and continue their studies aimed at obtaining the Italian high school diploma.
University Prospects in Italy
With the high school diploma awarded by the Licei of the Scuola Internazionale di Pavia, it is possible to access all university faculties. Additionally, thanks to the courses taken throughout the three years, the student will also improve their mathematical-scientific skills in English.
Organization
Our typical day is organized as follows:
Diploma
We are an accredited school, and the state exam takes place internally. With the state diploma issued by the accredited high school of the International School of Pavia, it is possible to access all university faculties. However, thanks to the courses conducted in English, students will enhance their mathematical and scientific skills in both English and Italian throughout their academic years.
Experiences
Study trips have a strong educational value and are closely linked to the annual programming. Each year, students are offered at least two experiences abroad in partner schools.
